UVI released their brand new instrument - hybrid synth/sampler with 15 different samples/synth engines, great bunch of effects and unlimited modulation and customization capabilities. UVI Falcon suppose to be replacer of UVI workstation and MOTU MachFive. And with new granular engine it is competing directly to Steinberg's Halion sampler platform but Falcon comes with powerful synth engine. After playing for a few hours with Falcon I need to say that their effects are super top-notch. Comparing to what comes with Halion, Kontakt, Omnisphere or Serum it beats them up easily. But the Factory library is really small for such kind of instrument - it is just around 0.5GB. I think we will see lots of new libraries for it from UVI in future.
