Dub Mixing Overview using Ableton Live + DS1 w/ Clive Chin @ Dubspot!

In this video, legendary Jamaican reggae and ska producer Clive Chin demonstrates his approach to dub mixing using the DS1 MIDI mixer designed in a creative collaboration between Livid Instruments and Dubspot. Controlling Ableton Live with the DS1, Clive shows us how he mixes analog stems from The Lost Archives of 17 North Parade and applies traditional dub mixing tools, such as dubplates and echo delays. Watch as Clive mixes vocals from “Ali Baba” by John Holt and other musical elements from Soul Syndicate.
